About Living Purpose Church: Beginnings

God began to unfold his vision His vision on Pastor Rick and Pastor Karin on their anniversary night.  What started out to be a 'dinner and a movie' plans, turned into a night of driving around the city of Bend while God began to unfold a plan he had. 

After months of planning, praying and research Living Purpose had its first Sunday service in the upper floor of a daycare center.  Then God moved us to rent a fellowship hall for six months, at which time God opened the door to buy church buildings!  With no money and a handful of people God handed this new little church two buildings as a tool to reach this amazing city with.  We are a small church growing strong.

God gave us the name “Living Purpose” with a vision behind the statement.  We are a group of believers that desire to find his purpose in our lives and then begin to do it.

Living Purpose Church is known for welcoming the presence of God and desiring to know and serve him better everyday, while reaching out to those around us. We frequently give to the poor, open our doors for high schoolers during lunch, host community barbecues and more.
